About The Artist
Hi, I’m Nancy Mye. Welcome to my website. I want to thank you for taking the time to visit!
I live in the beautiful Northwest state of Washington, in the breathtaking shadow of mount Rainier. My country home is surrounded by mountains, forests, streams, and wildlife. I receive my inspiration from the natural beauty that surrounds me as the fairies are the nature spirits of the earth. My desire is to share this joy and beauty with others.
As I paint I watch with wonderment as the fairies reveal themselves to me with their own individual personalities.
I have a backround in watercolors, but when I started painting in acrylics, I enjoyed being able to create washes similar to watercolors and textures similar to oils. Some of my paintings are in watercolors, others are a combination of watercolors and acrylics. These I paint on Arches Cold Pressed Watercolor Paper. Most of my paintings of fairies and sprites are done in acrylics on very thin wooden panels, which allows me to create the colors and textures I desire.
I believe that we all have a Fairy Godmother within our soul who loves us and has a desire to make all of our dreams come true. May you find your own Fairy Godmother, who will brighten your life with magic and enchantment!
